A Wild Tale

Project Type

Puppet Theatre

Year

1998

The play A WILD TALE is the story of a man and his many faces. A human being whose inner beauty is reflected in his faces and who is in rhythm with music of nature; while a peahen and her mate play around, immersed in their pure love.
Meanwhile the happy man is made to wear the mask of cruelty and his beauty of humanity transformed into demotic intension. He kills the peacock and tries to woo the peahen that has already turned herself into a woman. All this lead to her unmasking the man who ultimately gets back to natural sense.
Life size puppets are used in this production. Masks and live acting blended nicely with puppets and music.
This play designed and Directed by our guru Sri Sudip Gupta. Rod puppets are used in this show with associate sets and props. We have done one show of this play at Annual Programme organized by our group.
